RUSSIAN CINEMA: VOLCHOK

Russian empire. The turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Thirteen-year-old nobleman and orphan Vanya Ogarev flees from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod, fleeing assassins sent by his own uncle, who decided to take possession of the boy’s inheritance. To protect himself, Vanya hires a random fist fighter named Volchok. The top must help Vanya get safely to Nizhny – his father’s faithful friend is waiting for him there. But the whole event is bursting at the seams from the very beginning: the dreamer, aristocrat, esthete Vanya and the uncouth, gloomy man Volchok can barely stand each other from the very beginning. Ahead of them lies a dangerous journey that will change them both forever.
